Dr. Carr has been an instructor and professional dancer for over 30 years. He has exhaustive experience teaching Ballet Technique, Pointe, Contemporary, Anatomy, Kinesiology and Injury Prevention across the US. In addition Dr. Carr is an ABT\u00ae Certified teacher in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT\u00ae National Training Curriculum. Dr. Carr has also worked with\u00a0 US Olympic trainers and in 2017 obtained an international CPT license from the NAtional Academy of Sport Medicine. He has completed further certification in corrective exercise CES, performance PES, youth YES and group GPTS specializations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Andrew is, without a doubt, the best ballet teacher and coach I have ever worked with. His eye for detail and understanding of anatomy are unmatched, as is his ability to disseminate this knowledge. He eagerly meets students on their level, helping dancers of varied backgrounds to grow in group and individual settings alike. As a scientist myself, I have always had a deep appreciation for the level of physiological detail in Andrew\u2019s teaching, even long before science became my profession. He constantly expands his knowledge base, staying on the cutting edge of ballet pedagogy and exercise science, which is a rarity among ballet teachers. Andrew has been a coach to me since the moment I met him. Upon my first class with him in Charlotte around age 12, he asked if I could stay afterwards for some individualized work.
